Athens baseball team who field was surrounded by a corn field Athens, G.A Linton Grove Evans G.A a ball hit out of their ball park might come back like a bullet because the field was surrounded by big tall pines trees close together from one foul line to the other foul line. Senior Pro Team and Youth Team Coach Bolden played with!

Farmville All Stars Farmville Va A team that my high school coach started so that men in Prince Edward county could have a team like the Cumberland Slugger located in Cumberland , Va. This team existed from 1956 to 1980 but not strong has the Cumberland team because you had to try out each year and only 20 men or young boys with speed or a strong arm / very good glove / a pitcher with good control and throw the ball where the catcher put the glove and I could hit the glove when I was 18 years old I threw the ball well and that reason I played with Cumberland. Any one could join the Farmville All-stars team although you were not guaranteed to play in game, but you could sit on the bench with that pretty uniform on and root for the team. I had a lot of Friends who played for the All-stars.

Cumberland Sluggers Cumberland V.A this was one of the best Semi Pro team in V.A from 1950 to 1970. The family was large and owned a lot of land and a saw mill / stores and also a Dance club in Cumberland which was open Friday night thought Sunday night. Sunday was a big time day at our ball park people came from all over to the game to buy food and drink moon shine and to see Pop Reid our center fielder hit the ball 440ft and some time more then that. Other long ball hitters my high Coach Harry Truman, Glaron Lipson, Larry Evans, Bobby Thomson, Tank Hayes, Their was others out of a twenty man squad who could hit the long ball but not like these men. Four of the Lipson boys along with me were the main pitchers during the four years I played on the team. They also used me has a catcher when we faced team that did not have a strong running game.epecially at home because the fan love to hear me singing my son behind plate and talking to my pitcher the hold ball game whether we were winning or losing. I enjoyed playing for this team, one reason you could get into the club free all year not just during baseball season

Rice Cubs Rice VA A group of boys I played high school baseball with at Robert R. Morton High School, now the school name is Prince Edward County High School Farmville, VA

Dayton Bear Cats Team sponsor by Raymond Bar and Grill Dayton Ohio

Demark Athletics Denmark, S.C played with this team while I attended summer school at Voorhees College, Denmark S.C for two summers.

Coach and manger of Red Shop baseball team for three years starting when I was 13 yeas old. We played other youth teams in the county of Prince Edward V.A. We all ways beat our High school Coach Truman team which was located in Farmville V.A, this was the reason when it came time for High baseball practices to start up he would tell me to get the boys started until he was though with the basketball state play off games because Robert R. Morton was always in the state play in basketball when I was in high school.
